Padgett Incorporated has been serving the Southern Indiana and Kentucky area since 1962.  Jim Padgett started the company modestly with one truck and one welder.  He soon saw an increasing need in the area for crane service. Padgett’s first crane was a boom-truck that Jim built himself. The fabrication and crane services soon expanded to include a full service "machinery moving" department as well. After twenty years of dependable service to the area, Padgett outgrew its original location at 5th and Main Street in New Albany, Indiana and moved across town to its present location at 901 East Fourth Street.

Padgett’s 30 acre campus in New Albany, Indiana has over 230,000 square feet of office and building space under roof.  It is from this location that all of Padgett’s crane, machinery moving, and heavy-hauling services originate.

Padgett, Inc. continues to grow in order to keep up with the demands of the construction industry.  Padgett is continually upgrading its equipment fleet in order to offer the latest in technology, safety and efficiency. This state-of-the-art equipment is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. 

Padgett maintains a crew of over twenty full-time operators.  These operators have an average of 15 years on the job experience, and are certified by the "National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators", an OSHA accredited company.  Padgett’s operators are well known as the best in the area, for service and safety.
