Padgett, Inc. solidified their presence in the region’s heavy-crane rental market with the purchase of a 350 Ton All-Terrain crane.  The Grove GMK6300L offers some of the strongest lifting abilities of any six-axle all-terrain crane and offers more power when lifting at tall heights. The seven-section main boom is the longest in the Grove product range and is designed for strong lifts without the need to rig the jib. A choice of five outrigger positions, more than any other crane in its capacity class, offers ultimate flexibility. 

The 6300L comes equipped with 51 – 263 ft. seven-section full power MEGAFORM boom.  The crane will carry onboard a 39-69 ft. hydraulic offset bi-fold swingaway jib and have 2 additional 26 ft. jib inserts for a total available tip height of 393’.

Padgett was able to immediately take advantage of the 6300L’s long boom length and exceptional capacity on a project in Louisville, Kentucky.  The 6300L was utilized to install equipment through a roof opening using 173’ of main boom.  The equipment weight of 30,000 lbs. at a total lift radius of 90’ was effortlessly completed by the 6300L.

Padgett Inc. resurrects decades old building by removing existing decaying roof trusses and replacing them with new 66" truss girders along with new 8" square tube columns and rod bracing. Building was supported at each truss with shoring scaffolding supplied and installed by Rite-Way equipment. Each existing wood truss was dismantled with chain saws and hoisted down and disposed of. The new girders were then installed.
